Congratulations to Lisa Donnelly our Principal at Footlights Bolton for reaching the 16th anniversary of her popular performing arts school!
Lisa knows as well as anyone, how performing arts can support children’s confidence and creativity and help develop their communication skills. Her own love of acting, singing and dancing started at an early age. When her daughter joined a local Footlights school, Lisa was impressed by the creative activities for children that were offered in the weekly classes, with expert tuition in acting, singing and dancing. She was looking to return to work and wanted something that would allow her to make a positive difference to children and provide a healthy work/life balance.
Lisa started as a Footlights Principal in 2010 and from the outset, her passion for the performing arts and children’s education has motivated her to build a welcoming, inclusive stage school environment where children form friendships, build confidence and get the best from their acting, singing and dance classes.
Lisa said, “Being part of Footlights Bolton and the Footlights family for the last 16 years has been incredibly rewarding. It has been an absolute pleasure to see so many children pass through our doors and to see them grow in confidence and develop their love for the performing arts and meet so many lovely parents who have shown incredible commitment and support to Footlights.”
